\n\tAny enthusiast knows that the NSX<\/a> is a special car\u2014that\u2019s why two different companies<\/a> are currently working on restomods<\/a> based on it\u2014but Stark\u2019s example is like no other. The car from The Avengers has a look inspired by the second-generation NSX concept that was first shown at the North American International Auto Show in 2012, but is built on the bones of an early first-generation model.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\tInside Tony Stark\u2019s one-off Acura NSX Roadster<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHonda<\/p>\n \n\tThe NSX still looks exactly as it did on the set of the 2012 box office smash. Its hand-crafted body, which was designed by a team led by Acura creative director Dave Marek, is finished in a rich hue similar to that of red wine and its interior, which features two aftermarket seats equipped with racing harnesses, is covered in black leather. It even still wears the \u201cStark 33\u201d license plate from the film.<\/p>\n \n\tStark\u2019s NSX was built on a 1991 example with 252,000 miles on the odometer. That\u2019s a sizeable amount, of course, but we have a feeling the car has been in kept in tip-top shape since the end of filming.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\tThe movie car is based on a 1991 NSX<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHonda<\/p>\n \n\tIt\u2019s unclear when exactly the one-of-a-kind supercar will go up for bid, but Honda says when it does it, will be through Cars & Bids. The automaker also announced that proceeds from the sale will benefit a charity of the winning bidder\u2019s choice. Honda also plans to make an additional contribution to the Sundance Institute. The vehicle will be on display at the foundation\u2019s annual film festival in Park City, Utah, this week.<\/p>\n \n\tThe price figures to be steep, too.
