Andy Robertson could reportedly leave Liverpool for a bargain price amid talks with Tottenham over a potential January transfer.<\/p>\n

It emerged on Friday that Spurs have been in discussions over a deal for the Scotland international<\/a>. The north London club has brought forward its plans to sign Robertson<\/a> in the summer, when his contract at Anfield is due to expire.<\/p>\n

The left-back was with Liverpool on Saturday, and played the second half of the 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth. Despite fans making their affection for the 31-year-old clear<\/a>, it does seem as though his time with the Reds could come to an end this month.<\/p>\n

According to the Daily Mail<\/a>, a \u00a35 million ($6.8M) package is being discussed between Tottenham and Liverpool. Preliminary talks are said to have started, with an outcome expected in the next few days.<\/p>\n

Spurs have just completed the signing of Souza, a 19-year-old left-back from Santos in Brazil, although Thomas Frank\u2019s side is said to be looking for more experience to add to the dressing room.<\/p>\n

Tottenham\u2019s squad has been devastated by injuries, with Lucas Bergvall having been added to the likes of Mohammed Kudus, Rodrigo Bentancur, Richarlison, and Ben Davies recently.<\/p>\n

There may be a twist in Spurs\u2019 attempts to sign Robertson, though, with Liverpool suffering another injury that<\/a> could put a halt to his departure<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Joe Gomez<\/a> was forced off during Saturday\u2019s defeat at the Vitality Stadium, with the center-back the latest concern amid a defense that is already low on options.<\/p>\n

Ibrahima Konate<\/a> was again absent as he remains away following the death of his father. Giovanni Leoni<\/a> and Conor Bradley<\/a>, meanwhile, are out for the remainder of the season through injury.<\/p>\n

Arne Slot<\/a> gave little away on Robertson\u2019s future when asked about it<\/a> after the defeat to Bournemouth. The Liverpool boss turned to the Scot at half-time after Milos Kerkez<\/a> had endured a poor first half, although he insisted the decision was made in order to rest the Hungarian.<\/p>\n
