Met \u00c9ireann has issued a new Status Yellow weather<\/a> warning as Ireland braces for heavy downpours in the coming days.<\/p>\n Following several days where most regions have experienced substantial rainfall, there seems to be no respite on the horizon. A Status Yellow rain warning was released by Met \u00c9ireann<\/a> for one county this weekend, with Wicklow<\/a> battered by periods of heavy rain on Saturday, particularly across elevated areas.<\/p>\n Additional bouts of intense downpours<\/a> are predicted for later this week, with Met \u00c9ireann now releasing a new Status Yellow rain warning for three counties.<\/p>\n The national weather service said there will be bursts of rain which will be intense at times in Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow. The yellow rain warning will take effect there at midnight on Tuesday, January 27, and will stay active until 6pm that same day, reports the Irish Mirror<\/a>.<\/p>\n Releasing the weather alert, Met \u00c9ireann cautioned that the heavy downpours could result in localised flooding and challenging travel conditions.<\/p>\n The grim conditions stem from Storm Ingrid, which has been causing chaos with Irish weather recently.
