This is all achieved in camera without over-processing and conveys the depth and intensity of each moment,\u201d the BBC quoted TPOTY founder Chris Coe as saying.<\/p>\n Judge Jeremy Hoare described Maloukos\u2019 work as \u201cone of the best over the last 23 years of these awards,\u201d the BBC report said. Founded in 2003, the competition is judged anonymously by a sixteen-member international panel. Finalists must submit original raw files to verify authenticity and show that AI was not used in creating their work.<\/p>\n Intrigued by photography<\/p>\n Athanasios Maloukos is one of the most decorated Greek photographers in recent years, winning numerous prestigious international titles. Speaking recently to Greek Reporter<\/a>, he said he was intrigued by photography since his student years, trying to see through his lens what he saw around him \u201cwith a different perspective that captured life in a specific frame and focused the interest in a delimited setting.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cStarting out as a simple photographer, it was impossible not to become interested in capturing human expressions at some point,\u201d he adds. \u201cSo, the marriage of photography<\/a> with my other interest, travel, occurred naturally.\u201d Over the course of time, he sharpened his photographer\u2019s eye, but his\u00a0travels<\/a>\u00a0also became more demanding. However, it was only when he was prompted by his friends that he decided to participate in a photography competition in 2009.<\/p>\n \u201cThe participation alone in a competition, and indeed an international one, is an unknown aspect of photographic knowledge, where you have to renounce your own personal or emotional connection to an image and be able to perceive how other people receive your creation, but without this becoming an end in itself,\u201d the photographer explained.<\/p>\n Athanasios Maloukos: The Greek photographers\u2019 awards<\/p>\n Athanasios Maloukos has received widespread recognition for his photography, earning numerous awards that highlight his skill in capturing culture, people, and travel. His major accolades include:<\/p>\n Prix de la Photographie Paris (Px3): Named \u201cBest New Talent of the Year\u201d and \u201cPortraiture Photographer of the Year\u201d in 2022 for his powerful project La Desolata (a Christian commemoration in Italy)
