A Dublin man is planning a big surprise for his wife to share the news of his Lotto<\/a> win.<\/p>\n The Dubliner made a visit to Lottery HQ this week to collect his \u20ac90,224 Match 5 + Bonus prize, which he nabbed in last Wednesday’s 21 January draw. He bought his ticket online using the Scheduled Play function.<\/p>\n The midweek winner said that he has kept the news to himself since the Lotto win<\/a>. However, his wife will soon find out thanks to a big purchase – a brand new car.<\/a><\/p>\n The ticket was purchased a few weeks ago as a multi-draw ticket. He said that he has no clue how his wife will react to the win. He said: “My wife has no idea about this win, and I’m thrilled because I have a big surprise planned for how I will tell her \u2013 I’m going to buy her a car! It will be a double surprise with a car and a Lotto win. Who knows how she will react, there could be a lot of emotions! She won’t be expecting this at all, so now that I have my cheque in hand, it’s time to go car shopping.”<\/p>\n When the email arrived notifying him of a win, the Dubliner did not rush to check how much he had won. Instead, he took two days to check out his prize.<\/p>\n He said: “It was probably two days before I checked my account to see how much I had won \u2013 imagine, I had no clue that there was over \u20ac90,000 waiting to be claimed. What a way to start my week in the Winners Room, now to get this big surprise planned!”<\/p>\n Another Dublin<\/a> resident was celebrating at Lottery Headquarters after securing a \u20ac31,075 EuroMillions prize from the draw on 23rd January, having matched five numbers with a Quick Pick ticket, bought at Centra, Coolock Lane, Santry, Dublin 9. He said: “It popped up saying, ‘You’ve won big – contact the National Lottery’. I couldn’t believe it. I actually had to ring a few family members who play more often than I do to doublecheck it for me!”<\/p>\n The winning ticket was kept secure, hidden between his phone and phone case, until he travelled to National Lottery HQ to collect his prize. Another Dublin player scooped a substantial prize in Saturday night’s Lotto draw after matching five numbers plus the bonus in the main draw to claim \u20ac53,775.<\/p>\n The winning Quick Pick ticket was bought on the day of the draw at Tuthills in Liffey Valley Shopping Centre. The National Lottery continues to encourage players to examine their tickets thoroughly as the Saturday night winner has yet to make contact.<\/p>\n The winner should sign the reverse of their ticket and store it securely. They need to get in touch with the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be organised for them to attend the Winners Room to receive their prize.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, this evening’s EuroMillions jackpot is expected to roll towards an estimated \u20ac110 million.
