Claire Danes shared her third child\u2019s name more than two years after giving birth<\/a> to the little one.<\/p>\n

Danes revealed the toddler is named Shay on the \u201cGood Hang\u201d podcast<\/a> Tuesday.<\/p>\n

During the episode, the \u201cHomeland\u201d alum gushed over the \u201creally fun\u201d youngster, who she shares with husband Hugh Dancy. <\/p>\n

Claire Danes finally shared her third child\u2019s name on Tuesday. Good Hang with Amy Poehler<\/p>\n

The 2-year-old, who she welcomed with husband Hugh Dancy in the summer of 2023, is named Shay. Ave Phoenix \/ BACKGRID<\/p>\n

\u201cI love watching toddlers dance when they jump [and] do the bouncing thing,\u201d she noted. \u201cAnd Shay, my baby, she\u2019s very in her head and dreamy and sometimes she\u2019ll do this kind of [head-swaying] dance. I\u2019m like, \u2018That\u2019s fabulous.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Danes, who is also the mother of sons<\/a> Cyrus, 13, and Rowan, 7, mentioned Shay by name again while describing the onesies she has embroidered for each of her kids.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have [an unfinished] one for Shay, this third child,\u201d Danes admitted. \u201cShe doesn\u2019t wear onesies anymore. I\u2019ve missed that chance. I\u2019m confessing. I\u2019m actually confessing to you. It\u2019s by my bed, half-done.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the podcast, the Golden Globe winner looked back on the moment she found out she was pregnant with baby No. 3 at age 44.<\/p>\n

Danes said she had a \u201cmeltdown,\u201d<\/a> complete with \u201cconvulsive tears.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t know it was physically possible,\u201d Danes explained, noting that she had conceived Rowan via two rounds of in vitro fertilization.<\/p>\n

The Emmy winner told host Amy Poehler that her best friend predicted the \u201csurprise\u201d pregnancy.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe had this dream where she looked down and saw that she was pregnant, but she wasn\u2019t pregnant. She was in my pregnant body,\u201d Danes remembered.<\/p>\n

The \u201cBeast in Me\u201d star debuted her \u201cnot so expected\u201d baby bump<\/a> in January 2023, confirming her daughter\u2019s arrival six months later.<\/p>\n

Danes described the \u201cshame\u201d she felt at the time on the \u201cSmartLess\u201d podcast<\/a> in November 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was going outside of the parameters a little bit,\u201d she said. \u201cLike I was naughty. I\u2019d been caught fornicating past the point I was meant to.\u201d<\/p>\n
