After two years of dating, the M\u00e5neskin frontman announced their engagement with a sweet Instagram post on January 3. \u201cIt\u2019s gonna be a beautiful year,\u201d he wrote alongside the photo carousel, featuring a close-up look at their tattooed hands and Dove\u2019s stunning sparkler<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Damiano collaborated on the custom design with Alessandro Benini from Bernini High Jewelry, who shared more details about each of their rings. In several Instagram posts showing off the jewelry, Alessandro revealed that they were \u201ccreated to celebrate the union of two souls and the timeless bond of love.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for the specific details of each design\u2014ya know, in case you want to drop some hints to your partner\u2014Dove\u2019s diamond ring has an Asscher-cut center stone with a full halo, a split-shank pav\u00e9, and a rose gold band. According to Elle<\/a>, jewelers estimate that Dove\u2019s diamond is between 2 to 4 carats. David also got a complementary engagement ring with a matching center stone and a wide cigar-style band.<\/p>\n

Angie Kennedy, vice president of merchandising at Zales<\/a>, told Elle that the cost of Dove\u2019s ring may fall in the six-figure range, depending on its exact sizing. \u201cThere\u2019s going to be a huge range depending on if it\u2019s closer to 3 or to 4 carats and the quality of the diamond, measured by the cut quality, color, and clarity,\u201d she shared. \u201cI\u2019d guess [it\u2019s] somewhere between $75,000 and $125,000.\u201d<\/p>\n

Deep Dive on Dove and Damiano<\/p>\n

During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Dove got candid about Damiano\u2019s proposal. She admitted that he\u2019d tell her when he designed the ring with the jeweler and when it was ready\u2014but she had no idea when he\u2019d pop the question.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were packing, and I\u2019m the worst version of myself when I\u2019m packing\u2014I\u2019ve never learned how to pack well\u2014so clothing is everywhere. I\u2019m in a big t-shirt, no makeup, hair still, like, kind of wet from the shower, and I\u2019m running around like a little creature in our house,\u201d she said of the moments leading up to his proposal, before she freaked out in a separate room.<\/p>\n

The \u201cBoyfriend\u201d singer explained that Damiano chose a quiet engagement in their home for the most wholesome reason. \u201cI wanted to do this here in our home, because I want dishes, I want laundry, I want making food together, I want you in your big t-shirt. This is the life that I choose, and I hope you choose the same,\u201d she recalled of the milestone moment.<\/p>\n
