Emma Heming Willis<\/a>, wife of iconic Hollywood actor and New Jersey native Bruce Willis<\/a>, recently revealed her husband remains unaware of his condition as he battles dementia. <\/p>\n

The legendary action star \u201cnever connected the dots\u201d about his frontotemporal dementia (FTD) diagnosis<\/a>, his wife said, describing it as both \u201cthe blessing and the curse\u201d of the disease, according to Page Six<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 47-year-old detailed the situation during a recent appearance on Cameron Rogers\u2019 \u201cConversations with Cam\u201d<\/a> podcast. <\/p>\n

Emma Heming Willis explained that Bruce, 70, suffers from anosognosia as part of his FTD diagnosis, a condition in which the brain cannot recognize other health conditions, causing individuals to believe their symptoms are normal rather than being in denial.<\/p>\n

Bruce Willis, a native of Carneys Point in Salem County, rose to fame after his breakout roles in the \u201cMoonlighting\u201d series (1985) and \u201cDie Hard\u201d (1988).<\/p>\n

Some of his other notable performances came in projects like \u201cPulp Fiction,\u201d \u201cThe Sixth Sense,\u201d and \u201cArmageddon.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actor\u2019s wife clarified that he still recognizes everyone around him because he has dementia and not Alzheimer\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n

Bruce Willis retired from acting in 2022 after being diagnosed with aphasia<\/a>. He then received his FTD diagnosis in 2023. <\/p>\n

The Hollywood legend shares two daughters \u2014 Mabel and Evelyn \u2014 with his current wife and three adult daughters, Rumor, Scout and Tallulah, with ex-wife Demi Moore<\/a>.<\/p>\n
