But the problem is, the first report on this was 25 years ago and nothing, absolutely zero has been done since,\u201d he said, noting that the town has been repeatedly flooded over the past 25 years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph free \">\u201cIt\u2019s obvious it\u2019s going to keep happening. So how much more evidence and the many more reports do you need to do to actually do something and deal with the situation that needs to be dealt with here?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph free \">Repair works of a large burst on a \u201cmajor\u201d water main at Fairview Park in north Dublin are expected to continue for some time, Uisce \u00c9ireann has said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph free \">It said it is carrying out \u201curgent repair works\u201d following the burst on a water main at Edge\u2019s Corner which supplies much of north Dublin.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph free \">The burst has caused extensive water outages and significant flooding in the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph free \">Keith Conmy, Uisce \u00c9ireann\u2019s water network operations manager, Uisce \u00c9ireann, said the repair is being carried out \u201cas quickly and as safely as possible\u201d. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph free \">\u201cWe understand the significant impact this incident is having on households experiencing water outages, as well as the considerable disruption being caused to traffic. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph free \">\u201cThis is a complex repair, and we appreciate the patience of customers and morning commuters as we work to restore normal water supply and reopen roads as quickly as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph free \">Areas currently experiencing water outages include: Bayside, Collins Avenue, Howth Road, Raheny, Clontarf, Artane, Fairview, Kilbarrack, North Strand, Drumcondra.
