Taskmaster fans may be in for a big treat in the new season, with Alex Horne teasing a “never-before-seen” moment for the show. The Channel 4 show recently confirmed its latest line-up<\/a>, with US comedian Kumail Nanjiani among the names set to take part in the mayhem.<\/p>\n

Now the show creator has revealed there is a particular moment involving the Marvel star that will be a “big” one for the show.<\/p>\n

“There is a moment involving Kumail Nanjiani,” he told RadioTimes.com<\/a>. “I don’t want to give much away, but he gives a lot away about what he does by himself in his hotel room. So that’s what you’ve got to tune in for.<\/p>\n

“He surprised himself by what he revealed, and I was sat next to him, and it’s a big moment. It’s a never-before-seen Taskmaster moment.”<\/p>\n

We certainly can’t wait to see.<\/p>\n

Alongside Nanjiani, the new season will also feature Gavin & Stacey’s Joanna Page, The Thick of It and Veep’s Armando Iannucci, The Masked Singer’s Joel Dommett and comedian Amy Gledhill.<\/p>\n

Teasing some of “high calibre” contestants, Horne said that Iannucci in particular proved a “surprise” for him \u2013 but not in the way you’d expect.<\/p>\n

“He’s a comedy legend and a very clever man, you’d think. Not on Taskmaster! It turns out Armando is an idiot, which is so nice to [know],” he joked.<\/p>\n

“I found him quite daunting to meet and work with, but within five minutes, you realise he’s the same as everyone else. He crumbles under pressure.”<\/p>\n

He added: “And then we’ve got Kumail Nanjiani from the movies, Joel Dommett from The Masked Singer, Amy Gledhill, who’s just fabulous at everything, and Joanna Page from Gavin & Stacey.”<\/p>\n

Taskmaster will return with season 21 soon, airing and streaming on Channel 4<\/a>.<\/p>\n
