{"id":271143,"date":"2026-01-30T02:17:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-30T02:17:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/271143\/"},"modified":"2026-01-30T02:17:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-30T02:17:09","slug":"two-historic-west-cork-churches-get-funding-boost","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/271143\/","title":{"rendered":"Two historic West Cork churches get funding boost"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\">St Patrick\u2019s Cathedral in Skibbereen and the Church of the Ascension in Timoleague were recently awarded grants under the Built Heritage Investment Scheme (BHIS).<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Both churches will receive \u20ac37,500 for works to repair, restore and protect their historic structures.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cThese two churches are iconic landmarks within their own areas.
