\n\tSydney Sweeney<\/a> has said she does not engage with claims she is a \u201cMAGA Barbie\u201d because she cannot control how people perceive her politics.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Euphoria and The Housemaid actress has claimed that people on social media attempt to use her as a political \u201cpawn,\u201d but she has no interest in talking about how she votes. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn an interview with Cosmopolitan<\/a>, Sweeney said: \u201cI\u2019ve never been here to talk about politics. I\u2019ve always been here to make art, so this is just not a conversation I want to be at the forefront of. And I think because of that, people want to take it even further and use me as their own pawn. But it\u2019s somebody else assigning something to me, and I can\u2019t control that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAsked why she does not attempt to correct the \u201cMAGA Barbie\u201d claims if they are untrue, she responded: \u201cI haven\u2019t figured it out. I\u2019m not a hateful person. If I say, \u2018That\u2019s not true,\u2019 they\u2019ll come at me like, \u2018You\u2019re just saying that to look better.\u2019 There\u2019s no winning. There\u2019s never any winning. I just have to continue being who I am, because I know who I am. I can\u2019t make everyone love me. I know what I stand for.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSweeney was embroiled in political debate last year after her viral \u201cgreat genes\/jeans\u201d American Eagle ads sparked concerns over subliminal white supremacy. Sweeney remained silent about the backlash. At the time, The Guardian reported that she was registered as a Republican voter in Florida a few months before Donald Trump<\/a> returned to the White House. Reacting to the report<\/a>, Trump said: \u201cI think her ad is fantastic.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s definitely not a comfortable thing to have people saying what you believe or think, especially when that doesn\u2019t align with you. It\u2019s been a weird thing having to navigate and digest, because it\u2019s not me.
