The move &#8220;is intended to optimize resources and maximize revenue and profits from premium models amid surging prices for memory chips&#8221;, multiple sources have told <a href=\"https:\/\/asia.nikkei.com\/business\/technology\/apple-to-prioritize-premium-iphone-launches-in-2026-amid-memory-crunch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Nikkei Asia<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/iphone_air_2_might_come_with_improved_battery_life_and_camera-news-71050.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The next iPhone Air<\/a> may arrive alongside the iPhone 18 in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s also apparently critical for Apple to &#8220;minimize any potential production hiccups while mass-producing its first-ever foldable iPhone&#8221;, according to the same people.
