He is also nominated in the Record of the Year category for Carpenter\u2019s \u2018Manchild\u2019 and Lamar\u2019s \u2018luther\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>These four nominations bring his career Grammy nominations total to seven, with the previous nominations being for his work on albums by Sabrina Carpenter and Lana del Rey.<\/p>\n<p>A mastering engineer is responsible for the final step of producing an audio track, and it is both a creative and a technical skill.<\/p>\n<p>Donnacha Dennehy<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" height=\"256\" width=\"336\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/1769976248_906_grammy-awards-2026-who-are-the-irish-nominations.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1860592 aligncenter fixed-width-container\"\/><\/p>\n<p> Photo: Wikimedia<\/p>\n<p>The Dublin-born composer has\u00a0\u2018Land of Winter\u2019, his largest non-operatic work, nominated in the Best Contemporary Classical Composition and Best Chamber Music\/Small Ensemble Performance categories.<\/p>\n<p>The 12 movement piece explores the character of Irish seasons through rhythm and harmony.<\/p>\n<p>Emma O&#8217;Halloran<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" height=\"301\" width=\"348\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/1769976248_544_grammy-awards-2026-who-are-the-irish-nominations.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1860598 aligncenter fixed-width-container\"\/><\/p>\n<p> Photo: Emmaohalloran \/ Instagram<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"41d23\">The composer from Athlone, Co Westmeath is nominated for Best Opera Recording for double opera Trade\/Mary Motorhead.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"e0bg3\">Exploring the complex lives of three characters, the operas are based on original plays by Mark O\u2019Halloran.<\/p>\n<p>Naomi Louisa O&#8217;Connell<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" height=\"343\" width=\"357\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/1769976248_387_grammy-awards-2026-who-are-the-irish-nominations.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1860601 aligncenter fixed-width-container\"\/><\/p>\n<p> Photo: Naomi_louisa_oconnell \/ Instagram<\/p>\n<p>Cork-born Mezzo-soprano Naomi Louisa O\u2019Connell, now based in New York City, is nominated for Best Opera Recording Category for her performance on two separate works: Emma O\u2019Halloran\u2019s double opera &#8216;Trade\/Mary Motorhead&#8217; and Mary Kouyoumdjian\u2019s opera &#8216;Adoration&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>O&#8217;Connell&#8217;s performance work encompasses both theatrical and operatic repertoire.<\/p>\n<p>Elaine Kelly<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" height=\"341\" width=\"388\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/1769976249_114_grammy-awards-2026-who-are-the-irish-nominations.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1860602 aligncenter fixed-width-container\"\/><\/p>\n<p> Photo: https:\/\/www.elainekellyconductor.com\/<\/p>\n<p>Cork-born Elaine Kelly is a conductor, currently based between Cork and Dublin.
