Speaking to TG4 afterwards, the Donegal selector Neil McGee and 2012 All-Ireland winner felt the hosts were full value for Sunday\u2019s win but said there could have been a little more breathing space in victory.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThere were times we could have pushed on. Se\u00e1n O\u2019Shea kept them in it, his frees were excellent.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen you\u2019re three or four points up under the new rules, it\u2019s still very dangerous\u201d.<\/p>\n
Pressed on the learnings Donegal took from summer\u2019s hurt on Jones Road, a game they lost in the end by ten points, the three-time All-Star said: \u201cWe didn\u2019t react well enough in the All-Ireland final.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cKerry came out and got physical with us and we didn\u2019t handle it properly. That\u2019s something we\u2019ve looked at.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re not going to overdo it. But you have to stand up for yourselves.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of talk about how we play, but for us it\u2019s 11 v 11 every phase of play.<\/p>\n
We\u2019ve tweaked a few things this year, but we\u2019ve identified where the game was lost last year and we\u2019re working on that now\u201d.<\/p>\n
