Leesiders with a sweet tooth be on high alert – one of Munster’s favourite cookie makers has announced its first store in Cork and it’s opening this Thursday, February 5.<\/p>\n

Limerick-based SOS Cookies already stocks their addictive products in Cork’s Wellbean Cafe, but their new Mahon<\/a> Point shop marks their first independent shop in the Rebel county and will stock a huge selection of their best-selling treats.<\/p>\n

As part of the official launch of the shop on Thursday, SOS Cookies is giving away a free branded tote bag to the first 20 customers who snag themselves some delicious baked goods.<\/p>\n

The company was founded in Limerick back in December 2020 and in just over the five years since they first started trading they’ve become a popular favourite across Ireland and are now stocked in select cafes and coffee trucks around the country.<\/p>\n

It’s an impressive business success story from founder Sarah who has managed to build a food company with nationwide brand-recognition during a time that’s been particularly tough for the hospitality industry.<\/p>\n

A self-taught baker, she started developing SOS Cookies over the first Covid-19 lockdown, having fallen in love with similar products as a child in London.<\/p>\n
