Kanye West may have taken out a full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal<\/a> in an effort to make amends to those he\u2019s hurt, but there\u2019s one person who\u2019s not ready to forgive the 48-year-old rapper: Kim Kardashian\u2019s momager, Kris Jenner.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a very delicate situation<\/a> because Kris needs to play nice with Kanye for Kim\u2019s sake so it\u2019s not something she is going to address publicly,\u201d a source tells Globe. \u201cBut it\u2019s no secret among her friends that she doesn\u2019t believe a word of this apology tour.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 2025 documentary In Whose Name?, which was filmed over six years with West\u2019s permission, shows just how strained his relationship with Jenner, 70, became.<\/p>\n

At one point, the 24-time Grammy winner unleashes<\/a> on his then-mother-in-law, alleging that the Kardashians \u201cgot away\u201d with making him \u201cfeel like a piece of s**t\u201d while he was on medication for bipolar disorder.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe hasn\u2019t forgotten the hell he\u2019s put her daughter through, or the way his behavior has affected the whole family over the years, herself included,\u201d says the source. \u201cIt\u2019s not just the offensive comments. It\u2019s the constant chaos he\u2019s caused that Kim still has to deal with to this day.\u201d<\/p>\n

That doesn\u2019t mean that Jenner doesn\u2019t wish West well on his mental health journey, though.<\/p>\n

\u201cKris just can\u2019t forgive him and certainly not just because he makes a public apology,\u201d explains Globe\u2019s source, adding that the \u201cStronger\u201d singer has \u201capologized plenty\u201d in the past. \u201cShe would love for him to get better and for this to be the start of him taking a new path but at this point, it\u2019s hard to take him at his word.\u201d<\/p>\n

The timing is a bit suspicious.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt doesn\u2019t help his case that he\u2019s got a new album<\/a> [Bully] coming out in a month,\u201d the source notes. \u201cKris hopes for his sake that he\u2019s being genuine but [she\u2019s] not changing her mind. As far as she\u2019s concerned this is too little, too late.\u201d<\/p>\n
