Together, the countries drive 43.6% of global economic growth, showing that the Asia-Pacific region is contributing nearly half of the overall expansion.<\/p>\n<p>The United States is at the third position, at 9.9%, followed by developing nations like Indonesia (3.8%), T\u00fcrkiye (2.2%), Nigeria (1.5%), Brazil (1.5%) and others. Germany remains placed at the bottom of the list with a 0.9% share. The eurozone collectively adds 2%, while advanced economies as a group are projected to expand 1.8% while emerging markets clock 4.2%. The gap compounds year after year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/americanbazaaronline.com\/2025\/08\/29\/gita-gopinath-returns-to-harvard-after-celebrated-imf-tenure-466875\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">READ: Gita Gopinath returns to Harvard after celebrated IMF tenure<\/a> (August 29, 2025)<\/p>\n<p>Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/technology\/tech-news\/america-has-reportedly-put-google-and-facebook-conditions-on-canada-as-part-of-trade-negotiations\/articleshow\/127817420.cms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">commented<\/a> on this saying \u201cThe balance of power is changing,\u201d on X. This is especially notable since Musk has been keeping track of India\u2019s trajectory closely and met Prime Minister Narendra Modi twice in recent times.<\/p>\n<p>This signals a growing consensus among policymakers about the global economy making a dynamic shift to Asia and parts of the global south from the West.<\/p>\n<p>In its January 2026 global economy report, the IMF mentions that the \u201cglobal growth is projected at 3.3% for 2026 and 3.2% for 2027, revised slightly up since the October 2025 World Economic Outlook.\u201d It suggests that the growth is expected to be fueled by \u201ctechnology investment, fiscal and monetary support, accommodative financial conditions, and private sector adaptability offset trade policy shifts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The IMF also predicts a fall in global inflation.
