The Princess of Wales stepped out in Victoria Beckham trousers today for her visit to west Wales, appearing to send a subtle message with her outfit.<\/p>\n

Catherine, 44, chose to wear the label’s Alina flared trousers to visit textile manufacturers celebrating the heritage, creativity and craftsmanship of Welsh textile manufacturers. <\/p>\n

By choosing Victoria Beckham trousers, the princess appeared to be sending a subtle message amid the Beckham family feud.<\/p>\n

David and Victoria’s eldest son, Brooklyn, publicly distanced himself from his parents and siblings on Instagram last month with a six-page-long statement describing the fallout.<\/p>\n

The Beckhams have been longtime supporters of the Royal Family, with King Charles knighting Sir David in November 2025.<\/p>\n

In addition, both Prince William and Prince Harry have maintained a friendly relationship with Sir David over the years.<\/p>\n

During today’s visit, Catherine also wore a bespoke coat with fabric from Melin Tregwynt, the woollen mill where the future Queen visited today.<\/p>\n

The mill weaves traditional Welsh designs in a remote wooded valley on the Pembrokeshire coast.<\/p>\n

Melin Tregwynt has been in continuous operation since at least 1841 and is still weaving today, employing over 40 local people.<\/p>\n

Catherine accessorised with \u00a389 garnet gold earrings from Spells of Love, a Welsh brand, thereby showing support for the local fashion economy.<\/p>\n

For footwear, the princess donned \u00a3495 Emmy Josie pumps in chocolate suede.<\/p>\n

Melin Tregwynt focuses on combining traditional patterns with beautiful colour and innovative design, to create woollen blankets, scarves and cushions that are sold across the world.<\/p>\n

It holds an extensive archive of traditional patterns, which are carefully preserved and faithfully revived so that the craft can be passed on to future generations.<\/p>\n

During the visit, Catherine met Melin Tregwynt\u2019s director, Louise Clarke, to hear how the mill is preserving traditional craft skills.<\/p>\n

It draws on generations of expertise among its staff to mentor and inspire a new cohort of young apprentices.<\/p>\n

The princess then spent time with weavers at the loom and learnt about the skills required for Welsh double cloth weaving, which Melin Tregwynt is renowned for.<\/p>\n

It is a traditional, wool textile technique producing reversible, thick blankets with inverted patterns on each side.<\/p>\n
