Marissa Stapley\u2019s bestselling thriller Lucky is coming to Apple TV. The limited series adaptation is brought to you by Jonathan Tropper (Your Friends & Neighbors<\/a>, This Is Where I Leave You), who will serve as co-showrunner alongside Cassie Pappas (Griselda, Silo). Reese Witherspoon will executive produce the series for Hello Sunshine\u2014Lucky was a Reese\u2019s Book Club pick<\/a> in 2021.<\/p>\n

What is Lucky about?<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the official synopsis, per Apple TV:<\/p>\n

Lucky centers on a young woman who left behind the life of crime she was raised in years ago, but must now embrace her darker, criminal side one final time in a desperate attempt to escape her past.<\/p>\n

Who is in the cast?<\/p>\n

Anya Taylor-Joy stars as Lucky and also serves as executive producer. The cast is rounded out by Drew Starkey<\/a>, Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant, and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Per Deadline<\/a>, Starky will play Cary, Lucky\u2019s husband; Bening will play Priscilla, a mob boss; Olyphant will play John, Lucky\u2019s father; and Ellis-Taylor will play Agent Billie Rand.<\/p>\n

When does Lucky come out?<\/p>\n

Lucky will release its first two episodes on July 15 on Apple TV, and new episodes will drop every Wednesday until August 19.<\/p>\n

Can I see a sneak peak?<\/p>\n

Yes, Apple TV released a teaser trailer<\/a> in February 2026. In the short clip, Lucky (Taylor-Joy) appears to be on the run from the FBI. Starkey, Bening, and Ellis Taylor also briefly appear in the teaser. Watch it below:<\/p>\n
