The Hutch crime group is still a \u201cprimary\u201d drug trafficking gang in Ireland, but the Kinahan cartel \u201cno longer exists\u201d in this country as it did at the \u201cheight of its power\u201d a decade ago, An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na’s top gangland investigator has said.<\/p>\n

Detective Chief Superintendent S\u00e9amus Boland warned, however, that while the Kinahan cartel has gone \u201cquiet\u201d within Ireland<\/a>, experience shows such gangs will \u201calways come to the fore again\u201d.
