Kid Rock has been called “repulsive” over lyrics in his 2001 song Cool, Daddy Cool in which he speaks about young girls and declares he “likes ’em underage.”<\/p>\n

The song includes lyrics such as, “Young ladies, young ladies, I like ’em underage, see \/ Some say that’s statutory (But I say it’s mandatory).” The “It’s mandatory” part of the song was said by Joe-C, who died in November 2000 due to complications from celiac disease.<\/p>\n

Other lyrics featured in the song include, “You know I got that gangsta lean \/ Hoes, they all adore me, I stop and they all swarm me \/ To check out all my fly gold rings \/ They treat me like the mayor ’cause I’m the biggest player.”<\/p>\n

Cool, Daddy Cool was released in 2001 as part of the soundtrack for the animated children’s movie Osmosis Jones, which starred Bill Murray and Chris Rock.<\/p>\n

The song has been shared on social media, with critics on X slamming Kid Rock. “Not a good look\u2026” one person posted alongside a screengrab of the song’s lyrics.<\/p>\n

“MAGA has to be the greatest living contradiction of a political party,” someone else said following Kid Rock’s support of President Donald Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A third critic admitted, “And with that pic & those lyrics, I just threw up in my mouth,” as someone else hit out, writing, “This is repulsive.”<\/p>\n

Another person shared on X, “Fun Fact: Kid Rock once literally sang “I like \u2019em underage” \u2014 including on a song tied to a kids\u2019 movie soundtrack \u2014 but MAGA is upset about Bad Bunny because he speaks Spanish.”<\/p>\n

Kid Rock’s old song has gone viral ahead of his performance at Turning Point USA’s alternative Super Bowl halftime show, dubbed The All-American Halftime Show, on Sunday, February 8.<\/p>\n

The 55-year-old will be joined by Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett at the event, which was announced after right-wing viewers vowed to boycott Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny’s headlining performance at the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

The All-American Halftime Show will air at the same time as the NFL championship game’s halftime show.<\/p>\n

Not everyone is excited for the Turning Point USA event and it has been met with ridicule on social media. One person fumed, “This is embarrassing, just like America right now,” as another shared, “Damn – I\u2019d be hard pressed to come up with a worse list!”<\/p>\n

A third critic blasted, “Wow, that is must miss TV right there.”<\/p>\n
