Two types of volunteer roles are available \u2014 the traditional on-course Marshal and the \u201cnew-look Ambassador\u201d role, which will support the overall fan experience.<\/p>\n
Applications for both roles officially opened today and close on 1 April 2026. Kit Gartrell, Ryder Cup Event Delivery Director at the European Tour Group, said: \u201cThe 2027 Ryder Cup will be the biggest sporting event that Ireland has ever staged and the world will be watching.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur volunteers will have the opportunity to be at the heart of this iconic event and be part of history. We have already had more than 24,000 expressions of interest in these roles on our website, which shows the passion for the event.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor our Ambassador role, we want to encourage applications from a diverse pool of people to showcase the country\u2019s famously warm and welcoming hospitality to the thousands of visitors from across the globe who will visit the region.<\/p>\n
\u201cApplications are also live for the hugely important Marshal role. \u201cThe country has a strong track record of hosting major international golf tournaments, with a strong network of Marshals already in existence as a result.<\/p>\n
