France got the opening try against Ireland in their Six Nations clash on Thursday, but it did not come without controversy.<\/p>\n

Louis Bielle-Biarrey was the scorer for the hosts. However, a number of fans felt there was at least one, but possibly two, forward passes in the build-up to the try.<\/p>\n

They argued that Nicolas Depoort\u00e8re passed forward to Yoram Moefana, who then also knocked forward to Bielle-Biarrey, who sprinted up the line to get the game’s opening try. Ireland fans also had complaints about France’s second try, claiming that Antoine Dupont picked it up from the scrum.<\/p>\n

“France<\/a> get a try from a forward pass and no one even checks it,” read one comment.<\/p>\n

“How was that a good try for France two forward passes,” asked another fan.<\/p>\n

Someone else said: “A forward pass for the France try no? How does that not get reviewed?”<\/p>\n

One other comment read: “That looked like blue forward pass, then second try it looked like a knock on as Dupont picked it up from the scrum. I think France lucky twice…”<\/p>\n
