Tesco Ireland has urgently recalled a batch of its popular bakery item after safety concerns were raised over possible metal fragments.<\/p>\n

Tesco Ireland has urgently recalled a batch of its popular bakery treats over fears they may contain metal fragments.<\/p>\n

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI<\/a>) issued an alert today for a specific batch of Tesco’s<\/a> Et Voila! Pains au Chocolat 4 pack, which retails for \u20ac4.<\/p>\n

According to the FSAI: “This batch of Et Voila! Pains au Chocolat 4 pack is being recalled due to the possible presence of metal pieces.”<\/p>\n

Tesco has been instructed to remove the affected batch from sale and to display recall notices at the point of purchase.<\/p>\n

The recalled packs can be identified by the best before date of 05\/02\/26, which is today.<\/p>\n

Shoppers are being advised not to eat the implicated batch, and instead return it to any Tesco store for a full refund, with or without a receipt.<\/p>\n
