{"id":283222,"date":"2026-02-06T03:24:12","date_gmt":"2026-02-06T03:24:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/283222\/"},"modified":"2026-02-06T03:24:12","modified_gmt":"2026-02-06T03:24:12","slug":"daa-settles-with-outgoing-ceo-kenny-jacobs-for-considerably-less-than-previous-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/283222\/","title":{"rendered":"DAA settles with outgoing CEO Kenny Jacobs for \u2018considerably less\u2019 than previous deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">State <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/dublin-airport\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/dublin-airport\/\">airports<\/a> company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/daa\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/daa\/\">DAA <\/a>settled its court case with outgoing chief executive, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/kenny-jacobs\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/kenny-jacobs\/\">Kenny Jacobs<\/a>, for \u201cconsiderably less\u201d than an earlier deal reported to have been \u20ac960,000, according to the Government.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Both sides told the High Court on Thursday that they had settled an action begun by Jacobs after the company suspended him pending the outcome of an investigation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/darragh-obrien\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/darragh-obrien\/\">Darragh O\u2019Brien<\/a>, Minister for Transport, said afterwards that he understood the settlement was \u201cconsiderably less\u201d than an earlier sum agreed between Jacobs and the DAA late last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">That figure was reported to have been \u20ac960,000.
