\u202fWexford locals Margaret Doyle, Maria McAuley, Catherine Dunleavy, and Josephine O\u2019Reilly from Enniscorthy are\u202furging their community to turn Daffodil Yellow on Daffodil Day and go all in to raise vital funds and give hope to cancer patients, with the help of Miriam O’Callaghan, Broadcaster and Daffodil Day Launch MC, and Edel Shovlin, Acting CEO of the Irish Cancer Society.<\/p>\n

\u202f\u201cThis year alone, it\u2019s estimated that 44,000 people will be diagnosed with cancer in Ireland. There isn\u2019t a family that hasn\u2019t felt the devastating impact of a cancer diagnosis. But no matter what cancer brings, the Irish Cancer Society is here to help,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll of our essential services, like free counselling, Daffodil Centres, Night Nursing, and patient travel are fuelled by fundraising. It\u2019s also thanks to the generosity of the public that we can fund ground-breaking cancer research to help develop kinder, gentler treatments, with the aim of achieving our ambition of a future where no one dies from cancer,\u201d<\/p>\n
“The more we raise on Daffodil Day, the more we can do. The more help we can give to children and adults going through cancer, the more lifesaving research we can fund, and the sooner we can ensure all cancer survivors have the support they need to live life to the full.
