A woman has been convicted and fined \u20ac438, including legal costs, for parking in a Donegal Town disabled persons parking bay without displaying a permit.<\/p>\n
Aisling McHugh, of The Mullins, Donegal Town, was found to be the registered owner of a vehicle which was on June 17, 2025, parked in a disabled persons space bay at No.1 Car Park without a blue badge.<\/p>\n
The defendant was not present at the Donegal District Court sitting at Ballyshannon Courthouse, but Judge \u00c9ite\u00e1in Cunningham was satisfied to proceed.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cParking in a disabled bay is one of the more serious parking offences. Disabled persons need access,\u201d Judge Cunningham said.<\/p>\n
She convicted and fined McHugh \u20ac300 plus costs of \u20ac138, payable within four months.<\/p>\n
