The County Board has stated there was \u2018unprecedented demand\u2019 yesterday for tickets for the NFL clash between Donegal and Mayo in O\u2019Donnell Park on Sunday week.<\/p>\n
Several supporters have contacted Donegal Daily stating that none were available on the Ticketmaster website and app. There had been speculation that all 8,500 tickets had been snapped up.<\/p>\n
However, posting on their social media today, Donegal GAA said the Ticketmaster link had been \u2018closed\u2019 temporarily as they await season ticket holders to uptake their allocation.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is anticipated it (link) will reopen early next week, and should this be the case, it will be published on our social media channels, website and app,\u201d they stated.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere was unprecedented demand yesterday. We ask that Season Ticket holders login and download their allocation ASAP, please.\u201d<\/p>\n
Donegal\u2019s victory over All-Ireland champions, Kerry, at Fr Tierney Park in Ballyshannon was also a 9,000 sellout. The County Board has been forced to use the smaller venues due to the unavailability of the 17,1000 capacity MacCumhaill Park as the pitch there has been relaid.<\/p>\n
There may still be some tickets available for the visit of Mayo at local SuperValu and Centra stores.<\/p>\n
It had been feared that Donegal and Mayo\u2019s 7,000 season ticket holders had taken the majority of tickets, leaving just over 1,500 for general sale.<\/p>\n
