Neil Young<\/a>\u00a0has cancelled his entire UK and European tour<\/a>, saying \u201cthis is not the time\u201d for him to be playing shows.<\/p>\n

Following his huge shows last year with the Chrome Hearts headlining Glastonbury\u2019s Pyramid Stage<\/a> and topping of the bill for BST Hyde Park 2025, <\/a>the Canadian-American folk rock icon had announced a string of outdoor dates for this summer.<\/p>\n

These included shows at Cornwall\u2019s Eden Sessions on June 17, Manchester\u2019s Heaton Park on June 19 and the headline slot at the inaugural State Fayre Festival in Chelmsford <\/a>on June 27. He was then supposed to head over to Scotland for a slot at the Glasgow Summer Sessions at Bellahouston Park on June 29, before performing at Blenheim Palace Festival in Oxford on July 3 and Cardiff\u2019s Blackweir Fields on July 5.<\/p>\n

The tour was then scheduled to head through Europe, wrapping up in Udine, Italy on July 26.<\/p>\n

However, Young has now confirmed that the shows will not be going ahead. In a statement posted to the website Neil Young Archives<\/a>, he wrote: \u201cI have decided to take a break and will not be touring Europe this time,\u201d he wrote. \u201cThanks to everyone who bought tickets. I\u2019m sorry to let you down, but this is not the time. I do love playing LIVE and being with you and the Chrome Hearts. LOVE Neil be well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans who have tickets will be contacted directly and will be fully refunded.<\/p>\n

We’re sorry to share that Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts will no longer be touring Europe this year. This means that regrettably the Eden Sessions show on Wednesday 17 June 2026 is cancelled. In other news, Young recently gifted his entire music catalogue to the people of Greenland<\/a> for free, while hitting out at Amazon, Jeff Bezos and\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a> after the President threatened to annex the Arctic island.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m honoured to give a free year\u2019s access to\u00a0neilyoungarchives.com<\/a>\u00a0to all of our friends in Greenland,\u201d Young began. \u201cI hope my music and music films will ease some of the unwarranted stress and threats you are experiencing from our unpopular and hopefully temporary government.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cIt is my sincere wish for you to be able to enjoy all of my music in your beautiful Greenland home, in its highest quality. This is an offer of Peace and Love.\u201d<\/p>\n

Young confirmed that this would include \u201call the music I have made during the last 62 years\u201d. He added: \u201cYou can renew for free as long as you are in Greenland. We do hope other organisations will follow in the spirit of our example. LOVE EARTH. Neil.\u201d<\/p>\n

It followed Young announcing he would be removing his discography from Amazon Music<\/a> last autumn in protest of founder Jeff Bezos\u2019s support of Trump.<\/p>\n
