{"id":284968,"date":"2026-02-07T02:49:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-07T02:49:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/284968\/"},"modified":"2026-02-07T02:49:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-07T02:49:07","slug":"apple-is-working-to-make-carplay-compatible-with-ai-chatbots-like-chatgpt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/284968\/","title":{"rendered":"Apple is working to make CarPlay compatible with AI chatbots like ChatGPT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"speakable-summary\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apple CarPlay users may soon be able to talk to their favorite AI chatbot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apple is reportedly working on how to support AI chatbot apps within CarPlay, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-02-06\/apple-plans-to-allow-outside-voice-controlled-ai-chatbots-in-carplay\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">according to Bloomberg<\/a>, which cites anonymous sources.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apple CarPlay is an app that runs on an iPhone and wirelessly communicates with a vehicle\u2019s infotainment system. It projects some of the apps found on a user\u2019s phone onto the vehicle\u2019s infotainment display. Drivers are able to interact with these apps, including Apple Music, messaging, and navigation, through its voice assistant Siri.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apple\u2019s next-generation CarPlay Ultra goes a step further, including the central touchscreen display and digital dashboard located right in front of the driver, and gives users control of certain vehicle settings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This latest move would theoretically bring Google\u2019s Gemini, Anthropic\u2019s Claude, and OpenAI\u2019s ChatGPT into the car, and at the risk of putting its own Siri assistant in the back seat.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Apple CarPlay users may soon be able to talk to their favorite AI chatbot.
