Even though I don\u2019t struggle with a heart condition, I\u2019m aware that heart disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S.\u2014so I want to be proactive in supporting my <a class=\"recommendation-inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eatingwell.com\/happiness-may-help-lower-risk-of-heart-disease-and-stroke-8714853\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">cardiovascular health<\/a>. For me, that means moving my body every day in ways that I enjoy, like walking, swimming, skiing or lifting weights. It also means including meals full of fiber and unsaturated fats, while being mindful about sodium and saturated fat. I often turn to <a class=\"recommendation-inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eatingwell.com\/plant-based-protein-benefits-11712145\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"2\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">plant-based proteins<\/a> like tofu and beans, and include foods rich in <a class=\"recommendation-inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eatingwell.com\/bad-fats-for-better-heart-health-8775708\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"3\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">heart-healthy fats<\/a> such as salmon and avocado. It provides so many different flavors and textures, and this recipe proves it\u2019s versatile enough for dinner. Grated zucchini keeps the patties moist, while chickpeas provide plant-based protein and satisfying texture. The creamy tahini-ranch sauce adds a tangy, herby finish that takes them to the next level. Using store-bought rotisserie chicken cuts down on prep without sacrificing nutrition or flavor. Plus, a quick cumin-spiced fresh tomato salsa and lettuce add crunch and brightness. For a boost of heart-healthy fat, I\u2019ll top them with sliced avocado.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>  Thursday: Sheet-Pan Chili-Lime Salmon with Potatoes &amp; Peppers  <\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_24-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> I love any dinner that lets my oven do the work for me, and this sheet-pan salmon recipe fits the bill. And beyond being easy and delicious, this dish is nutritious too. Salmon provides a type of fat called <a class=\"recommendation-inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eatingwell.com\/best-nutrient-to-lower-inflammation-8783795\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">omega-3 fatty acids<\/a> that helps reduce inflammation and has been linked to lower cardiovascular disease risk. This veggie-packed version of carbonara adds freshness and nutrition to the classic dish. Sweet peas and spinach make the dish vibrant and add fiber, vitamins and minerals.
