Tullamore Camera Club held their annual photography awards at their January meeting, which also coincided with the group’s AGM.<\/p>\n

The Photographer of the Year 2025, as voted by the members, is the highly talented Kieran McEvoy, who produced a wonderful array of photos during the year, covering many genres, including macro, wildlife and landscape photography. <\/p>\n

The recipient of the Shield for 2025, once again voted by the members, was Marie Kearns, for her captivating wildlife and landscape shots. <\/p>\n

A new category, Photograph of The Year, was introduced for 2025. Andrea Hunt of Dublin School of Photography was the judge for this category.<\/p>\n

She chose Kieran McEvoy’s atmospheric shot of\u00a0The Wolftrap in the Slieve Bloom mountains as the winning shot.<\/p>\n

All prizes were presented by Tullamore Camera Club Chairperson, Cliff Webb.<\/p>\n

Tullamore Camera Club usually meets at 8pm on the last Thursday of each month in the Offaly History Centre. <\/p>\n

Their next meeting takes place on Thursday, February 26 at 8pm. New members are always welcome as no experience is required. <\/p>\n
