iOS 26.4<\/a> is set to be one of the most important updates ever for the iPhone, offering a suite of new Apple Intelligence and Siri features. A new report from Bloomberg<\/a> today reveals Apple\u2019s timeline for launching iOS 26.4.<\/p>\n

These new Siri features were first announced at WWDC 2024, with the expectation they would launch as part of the iOS 18 cycle. In a statement last year, Apple formally delayed<\/a> the features. Last month, it announced<\/a> a partnership with Google to use Gemini models to power its new Siri and Apple Intelligence features. <\/p>\n

Now, we\u2019re getting very close to actually being able to try the new features for which we\u2019ve been waiting 18 months. <\/p>\n

In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter<\/a>, Bloomberg\u2019s Mark Gurman reports that Apple expects to release the first developer beta of iOS 26.4 the week of February 23. <\/p>\n

There will also likely be a public beta of iOS 26.4 at some point later this month or in early March. If Apple begins beta testing iOS 26.4 this month, it will likely be released to everyone sometime at the end of March. <\/p>\n

iOS 26.4 will include three big new features for Siri: <\/p>\n

Personal Context<\/p>\n

In-app and cross-app actions<\/p>\n

On-screen awareness <\/p>\n

Personal context will allow Siri to locate specific information within notes, texts, and emails. Onscreen awareness will let Siri perform actions on your screen. Lastly, in-app actions will empower you to control specific app functionalities using Siri.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Additionally, iOS 26.4 is expected to include new emoji<\/a>, inlacing an apple core, fight cloud, treasure chest, and more. <\/p>\n

Of course, this could all change if Apple hits any last-minute snags in the development of these new features. This, however, is the schedule as it stands today. <\/p>\n
