Alan Reynolds says that he would prefer if all Bohemians games were played at Dalymount Park after their trip to the Aviva ended in a scoreless draw<\/a> with St Patrick’s Athletic.<\/p>\n

It’s the second season in succession that Bohs’ have kicked off their season in Dublin 4, after last season’s 1-0 win over Shamrock Rovers, but they couldn’t find a way past Pat’s goalkeeper Joseph Anang in a game of few chances.<\/p>\n

Speaking on RT\u00c9’s Sunday Sport, the Gypsies manager said that they would have won it had the game been played at their home ground in Phibsboro.<\/p>\n

“Yeah, well I would have thought so,” was his response when asked by Tony O’Donoghue if they would have won it if it was played on the northside of the city.<\/p>\n

“I would have loved to be playing all our games at Dalymount Park. I get the whole occasion of playing here, it’s great for the league, but definitely.”<\/p>\n

A share of the spoils was a fair result although Bohs did have the only opportunities in the game, as Anang denied both Ross Tierney and Connor Parsons either side of half time.<\/p>\n

“We shaded possession but there wasn’t much goalmouth action there for both sets of fans to get excited about. We had two really, really good chances, another half chance, I’m not sure if they had any chances.<\/p>\n

“Was it the best game? Probably not, but still disappointed we didn’t come out winners with the chances.”<\/p>\n

On Anang, Reynolds added: “He’s going to the World Cup, isn’t he? He is a top-class goalkeeper.<\/p>\n

“It says about us that we’re the team that really worked the goalkeeper more. I think he got Man of the Match so that says it all, doesn’t it?”<\/p>\n

For opposite number Stephen Kenny, it was a case of having to settle for a point after such a disappointing end to 2025.<\/p>\n

The Saints missed out on European soccer with a fifth placed finish, and Kenny admitted afterwards that they hadn’t deserved more from the trip to Dublin 4.<\/p>\n

“We probably didn’t deserve any more than a point, I think,” he told RT\u00c9 Sport afterwards.<\/p>\n

“I felt my players really gave everything, it was a brilliant effort from the players. It was important to keep a clean sheet.<\/p>\n

“We probably didn’t, in the final third, create enough.”<\/p>\n

On the potential to lose his goalkeeper during the World Cup, after such an impressive performance, Kenny added: “We’d be delighted for him if he gets a chance to play in the World Cup.<\/p>\n
