Westmeath took the bragging rights from their derby with Meath in Division 2 of the Allianz Hurling League, running out 0-25 to 1-19 winners in Mullingar.<\/p>\n
The Lake County men were more efficient with their shooting as they took a five point lead into the break at 0-15 to 0-10.<\/p>\n
Gavin King’s penalty early in the second half brought the Royals back into it but they weren’t able to flip the script as Westmeath held on to record their first win of the campaign.<\/p>\n

In Division 3, goal-hungry Wicklow had too much for Tyrone, winning by 3-14 to 0-15 in Garvaghy.<\/p>\n
Seanie Germaine set the Leinster men on their way, landing a major with the first score of the game. They were seven clear when Jack Phelan scored the Garden County side’s second goal of the game, but the Red Hand battled to trail by just two at the break.<\/p>\n
Wicklow pulled six clear and when Andrew Kavanagh added their third goal shortly after Conor McNally saved a Tyrone penalty, they had real momentum on their side, which the Ulster outfit couldn’t halt.<\/p>\n
Louth made it two from two for Leinster teams against Ulster opposition as they battled to see off Fermanagh by 3-20 to 2-19.<\/p>\n
The Wee County were nine points clear inside a quarter of an hour, thanks to goals from Ciaran McKelvey and Andrew Cosgrave. But the Ernesides regrouped to slash the gap to four at the break.<\/p>\n
The second half was end to end, but Louth finished strongly, coming from two down with 10 minutes to go to win by four, with Sean Flynn hitting a brace in a run of six consecutive scores.<\/p>\n
While in Division 4, Leitirm picked up their first points of the campaign after seeing off Warwickshire by 2-28 to 2-11.<\/p>\n
