\n\tCharlie Puth<\/a> hit the Levi\u2019s Stadium field in Santa Clara, California, on Sunday (Feb. 8) to perform the national anthem<\/a> at the 2026 Super Bowl<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tDressed in a brown leather bomber jacket over a white shirt and tie with jeans, Puth stood on a white platform on the field to play keyboard while singing \u201cThe Star-Spangled Banner.\u201d He was backed by a band and choir dressed in all white, who added extra depth to his pop-styled rendition of the national anthem.<\/p>\n

\n\tAppropriately, when Puth sang the line \u201cand the rockets\u2019 red glare, the bombs bursting in air,\u201d the cameras cut to the Levi\u2019s Stadium big screen as fireworks burst above a close-up of the singer\/songwriter. The cameras also cut to a perfect shot of an American flag waving in the wind backed by the nearby Golden Gate Bridge.<\/p>\n

\n\tPuth ended his performance with an unexpected final note, adding his own touch to the more than 200-year-old song.<\/p>\n

\n\tPuth\u2019s \u201cStar-Spangled Banner\u201d was preceded by Brandi Carlile\u2019s \u201cAmerica the Beautiful,\u201d as well as Green Day\u2019s Opening Cermony performance.<\/p>\n

\n\tLate last year, Puth announced his fourth studio album,\u00a0Whatever\u2019s Clever!, due March 27 via Atlantic Records, alongside a music video for lead single \u201cChanges.\u201d In the \u201980s-inspired visual, Puth let fans in on some big personal news in: His wife, Brooke Sansone, makes a cameo and they both place their hands on her belly to signal that they\u2019re about to become a family of three. So far, he\u2019s released three songs from the upcoming album: \u201cChanges,\u201d \u201cBeat Yourself Up\u201d and \u201cCry,\u201d which just dropped on Friday.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn Sunday\u2019s Super Bowl, the Seattle Seahawks are playing the New England Patriots and Bad Bunny is set to perform at the halftime show.<\/p>\n
