Ben Affleck reunited Friends stars Jennifer Aniston and Matt LeBlanc for his latest Dunkin’ donuts advert.<\/p>\n
The Hollywood actor – who has been the face of the brand for last few years – recruited 1990s sitcom stars including Friends alum Aniston and LeBlanc, Cheers star Ted Danson, Seinfeld\u2019s Jason Alexander and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actor Alfonso Ribeiro for the new commercial which aired during the Super Bowl coverage on Sunday (08.02.26) .<\/p>\n
The ad was dubbed Good Will Dunkin’ in reference to Affleck’s Oscar-winning 1997 movie and the actor was seen wearing a blonde wig similar to the hair seen on his co-star Matt Damon in the film.<\/p>\n
The ad opened with the message: “Before the movie, a much better version of Good Will Hunting was made as a sitcom with a real genius in the lead and some other actors.”<\/p>\n
The action takes place in a Dunkin’ store with the characters sitting around drinking coffee, with LeBlanc wearing a wig and an outfit reminiscent of his Joey character in Friends.<\/p>\n
Affleck even uses Joey’s “How you doin'” catchphrase on A Different World star Jasmine Guy before Ribeiro holds up a picture of Aniston and asks: “Don\u2019t you have a girlfriend?”<\/p>\n
The Argo actor then makes another Friends reference as he says: “We\u2019re on a break! I don\u2019t need her, I\u2019ve got everything I need right here at Dunkin\u2019.”<\/p>\n
Aniston subsequently appears at the window – wearing her hair in the style of her Friends character Rachel – and introduces her boyfriend who is revealed as former NFL star Tom Brady.<\/p>\n
Alexander opened up about about how the advert was made revealing he was told the actors would all be “de-aged” to make them looks as if they had all stepped straight out of the 1990s.<\/p>\n
He told Esquire magazine: “It was pitched [to me] exactly like what you see, as if\u00a0Good Will Hunting\u00a0had started as a bad pilot. It is the found pilot, and we’re gonna de-age you. That was the pitch.”<\/p>\n
The actor went onto reveal the cast felt very “comfortable” with each other even though they hadn’t all worked together before.<\/p>\n
He explained: “It was as if we all knew the drill and had done it before, when in fact we had not … It was comfortable”.<\/p>\n
He added of his de-aging onscreen: “They added hair pieces that resemble, I’ll laughably say, my hairline in the ’90s. It was close [enough], and I figured they’ll nail it when they CGI it. That was never my hair. But I look younger.
