Betrayal is ITV fans\u2019 next gripping spy thriller with Endeavour icon Shaun Evans<\/a> and Vigil<\/a> actress Romola Garai at its heart.<\/p>\n

The wait is over as Betrayal<\/a>, which comes from the production company behind ITV<\/a> \u2019s Code of Silence, is airing tonight, Sunday, February 8, at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.<\/p>\n

The four-part series revolves around MI5 operative John Hughes (played by Shaun Evans) who is scheduled to meet a British-Iranian informant who claims to have knowledge of a pending terrorist plot.<\/p>\n

However, a major spanner is thrown in the works when the man is killed before they can speak and John winds up killing the assassin in self-defence.<\/p>\n

But he quickly finds himself under an intense internal investigation at MI5, causing him to question what happened and if this is really the right career for him anymore.<\/p>\n

Spy thriller Betrayal premieres on Sunday, February 8, at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.<\/p>\n

ITV\u2019s latest drama is a four-part series but thankfully, there isn\u2019t too long to wait before the second episode is ready to watch.<\/p>\n

Betrayal season one, episode two, is going to debut tomorrow, Monday, February 9, in the same timeslot of 9pm on ITV.<\/p>\n

The series will follow this same release pattern next week with episodes three and four coming out on Sunday and Monday.<\/p>\n

Leading the cast is Endeavour star Shaun Evans as John Hughes who reunites with his former Vigil co-star Romola Garai as his partner Claire Wardly.<\/p>\n
