Founded in Cambridge more than 50 years ago, ARCAM introduced its ARCAM Two bookshelf speakers in 1985 and later released the Muso loudspeakers in 2007.

With the ARCAM Radia Speakers, the company says it seeks to return to this category with the benefit of five decades of audio engineering experience and access to HARMAN’s advanced research, measurement and testing facilities behind it.

ARCAM Radia Speakers: A Breakdown of Features

Visually, the ARCAM Radia Speakers follow the established Radia design language, featuring subtle yellow accents and cabinets finished in Black Walnut wood veneer. Magnetically attached grilles create a clean, uninterrupted front profile, while optional solid aluminum stands are available for the bookshelf models.

Akin to JBL Synthesis’s approach with its new SCL speakers, the ARCAM Radia Speakers are designed to function as a complete ecosystem, rather than as individual speaker products.

While fully compatible with electronics from other manufacturers, the speakers are also optimized to pair with ARCAM’s Radia Series streaming amplifiers and upcoming AV products.

When paired with the ARCAM SA35 or SA45 streaming amplifiers, for instance, the Radia speakers can be fine-tuned using ARCAM’s anechoic EQ (AEQ). This technology automatically optimizes the amplifier’s output for each specific speaker model, maximizing accuracy and tonal balance without complex manual calibration.

AEQ support (in addition to AVA-exclusive Dirac ART support) will also extend to upcoming Radia Series AV receivers and processors, ensuring consistent optimization across multichannel systems.

R15

The entry-level Radia bookshelf speaker uses a two-way crossover design with a 25 mm DCC aluminum dome tweeter in an Acoustic Lens waveguide and a 130 mm MCC cone woofer.

R25

The largest bookshelf model in the series, the R25 combines the same tweeter with a larger 165 mm MCC cone woofer. The increased cabinet volume supports extended low-frequency performance while remaining suitable for bookshelf or stand mounting.

R25B

The R25B powered subwoofer is designed to enhance both two-channel and surround sound systems. It houses a 750-watt digital amplifier and a 250 mm coated fiber-composite cone woofer for deep, controlled bass.

R35C

The R35C center channel is engineered for clarity and intelligibility, featuring a 25 mm DCC aluminum dome tweeter in the Acoustic Lens waveguide and dual 130 mm MCC cone woofers. It is designed to anchor dialogue and on-screen action in surround sound systems.

R35

The more compact of the two floorstanding models, the R35 uses a three-way crossover design with three 130 mm MCC cone woofers for low frequencies, a 130 mm DCC midrange driver, and the series’ 25 mm tweeter. It is well suited for smaller to medium-sized rooms.

R45

The flagship R45 floorstanding speaker employs three 165 mm MCC cone woofers, a 165 mm DCC midrange driver, and the 25 mm DCC aluminum dome tweeter. Designed to pair with the ARCAM SA45, the R45 delivers extended low-frequency response and authoritative performance for larger spaces.

Additional Features

All passive ARCAM Radia Speakers utilize rigid, cross-braced cabinets to improve stability and reduce unwanted resonance with each model featuring a 25 mm (1-inch) DCC aluminum dome tweeter mounted in an Acoustic Lens waveguide, designed to improve dispersion and phase alignment for consistent sound across the listening area.

Pricing and Availability of the ARCAM Radia Speaker Series

The ARCAM Radia Series loudspeakers will be available from authorized ARCAM dealers from Q2 2026, with products expected in stores by May. Official US pricing hasn’t been released yet.

ARCAM announced the ARCAM Radia Speakers while at ISE 2026, marking the company’s return to loudspeaker design with…

[6
138638,138639,138640,138641,138642,61,60,48034,138643,138644,80
0":"post-289062","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-technology","8":"tag-arcam","9":"tag-bookshelf-speakers","10":"tag-center-channel-speakers","11":"tag-floorstanding-speakers","12":"tag-harman","13":"tag-ie","14":"tag-ireland","15":"tag-loudspeakers","16":"tag-powered-subwoofers","17":"tag-subwoofers","18":"tag-technology
["GET
