Sundance Midnight selection Didn\u2019t Die has been acquired by Level 33 Entertainment for a March 6 theatrical release. Watch the teaser trailer below.<\/p>\n

The character-driven zombie comedy is directed by Meera Menon<\/a> (\u201cThe Walking Dead,\u201d \u201cFor All Mankind\u201d) from a script she co-wrote with cinematographer Paul Gleason.<\/p>\n

It revolves around an unfolding zombie apocalypse in rural America, as a podcast host struggles to maintain their dwindling audience amidst the chaos.<\/p>\n

Kiran Deol (Destroy All Neighbors) stars with George Basil (Werewolves Within), Samrat Chakrabarti (\u201cThe Sinner\u201d), Katie McCuen, Vishal Vijayakumar, Ali Lopez-Sohaili, and Kandis Erickson.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m drawn to the question of what still makes life worth living when everything else has come undone,\u201d said Menon. \u201cBeing an indie filmmaker right now feels like podcasting in the middle of a zombie apocalypse \u2014 this film is about the grit it takes to simply keep going.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a performer, it\u2019s such a privilege to get to play an arc, especially one grounded in wry humor,\u201d added Deol. \u201cFrom the collaborative style of developing the story to staying in a house with the actors in upstate New York, Meera created an experience that felt like family coming together.\u201d<\/p>\n
