\n\tProducers of the upcoming \u201cHarry Potter<\/a>\u201d series on HBO<\/a> Max have long promised the show, which is set to span seven series, will give fans a more thorough look at the wizarding world than the movies.<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to Lox Pratt, who has been cast as Potter\u2019s nemesis Draco Malfoy, one way in which the series will do that is by following some of the more peripheral characters into their individual spaces. \u201cYou get to see all the teachers in their little rooms. You get to see Draco at home. I won\u2019t spoil too much about that, but there are some brilliant scenes at home where you start to get an insight into how he is,\u201d said Pratt, who is currently starring in the BBC\u2019s adaptation of \u201cLord of the Flies.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe HBO series, which will launch in 2027, is directed by \u201cSuccession\u201d director Mark Mylod and written by \u201cHis Dark Materials\u201d scribe Francesca Gardiner.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI think with this adaptation, you get to see so much more than the books,\u201d Pratt told magazine 1883<\/a>. \u201c[The books] are very much over Harry\u2019s shoulder, which is great, and that\u2019s how they played the film as well. And I think Francesca and Mark have been audible about this in their interviews, there\u2019s just so much more that you get to see.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tPratt also implied that as well as a closer look inside the walls of Malfoy Manor, viewers would get to see a more rounded version of Draco. \u201cSimilar to \u2018Flies,\u2019 I was grateful that we had the same freedom to explore these characters,\u201d said Pratt. \u201cBecause in the films, Draco is sort of 2D; he is the sneery villain. I feel like there\u2019s so much more \u2013 you need to understand why. And you see little glints of it in the film with Lucius and stuff. I think [the series] is really brilliant. I can\u2019t wait to bring it to the screen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHBO Max execs are also eager to bring the series to screens, with Warner Bros.
