following the departure of former incumbent Jon Rudd <\/a>to take up a role at the head of the Saudi Arabia performance programme.<\/p>\nReid has worked in the Swim Ireland Performance team since 2010 and was formerly the Head of Performance Pathways and Operations.<\/p>\n
As a swimmer he represented Ireland at European and World Championships and Northern Ireland at the Commonwealth Games.<\/p>\n
Reid said:\u00a0\u201cI am incredibly honoured and proud to be appointed National Performance Director with Swim Ireland. Having been involved in Irish swimming for over 40 years as an athlete, coach and most recently as Head of Performance Pathways and Operations, this role means a great deal to me.\u201d<\/p>\n
