Rose Byrne sat down with \u201cExtra\u2019s” Terri Seymour at the 2026 Oscar nominees luncheon.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The \u201cIf I Had Legs I\u2019d Kick You\u201d star reacted to getting her first Oscar nomination \u2014 being woken from a sound sleep by her husband Bobby Cannavale to find out!<\/p>\n

“I was in Australia, so it was the middle of the night and Bobby FaceTimed me\u2026 He called and I, like, burst into tears. My parents got up and woke up and they were like, \u2018Oh, my God, did you get the nomination?\u2019 So, it was really meaningful to share it with my mom and dad.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Bobby had to miss the Golden Globes, she shared that he\u00a0will\u00a0be her date at the Oscars.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, he can’t wait,\u201d she said, “He’s never been. I went once before because I presented with the cast of \u2018Bridesmaids’ in 2012.\u201d<\/p>\n

Byrne also praised her fellow nominees Jessie Buckley from \u201cHamnet,\u201d Emma Stone from \u201cBugonia,\u201d Kate Hudson from \u201cSong Sung Blue,\u201d and Renate Reinsve from \u201cSentimental Value.\u201d<\/p>\n

She gushed, \u201cThe women in my category are just extraordinary and I’ve seen all their work now and they’re breathtaking, and I can’t wait to celebrate and make them feel uncomfortable and tell them how much I love them.”<\/p>\n

Rose was also named the 2026 Woman of the Year by Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals.<\/p>\n

She told Terri, “I’m so excited. I’ve heard this event is an absolute riot and really fun and\u2026 my friends said, ‘You have to do this… It’s so fun, and it’s really sort of nourishing and creative and you get to be students who are not cynical and who are not jaded and who have the future are the future.\u2019”<\/p>\n

Rose also dished on her upcoming TV show, the crime drama \u201cThe Good Daughter\u201d on Peacock.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s Meghann Fahy\u00a0and I and Brendan Gleason,\u201d Bryne said. “Meghann is extraordinary in it. We play sisters who are estranged. It’s a miniseries… based on the Karin Slaughter novel. It’s a thriller, crime thriller. So, great thriller tropes, a lot of tension, a lot of whodunit.”<\/p>\n
