Based on a novel by Julia May Jonas, a new ‘sexy, thrilling, and funny’ age gap romance series is coming very soon to Netflix, and we are SAT.<\/p>\n

Vladimir, an upcoming eight-part series, boasts a star-studded cast that includes Rachel Weisz,<\/a> Bridget Jones’ toy boy Leo Woodall, and Mad Men actor John Slattery.<\/p>\n

Weisz plays a middle-aged writer, professor, wife, and mom. She becomes captivated by her new colleague, Vladimir, at the small liberal arts college at which she works.<\/p>\n

‘Full of sexy secrets, dark humor, and complex characters,\u00a0Vladimir is about what happens when a woman is hell-bent on turning her fantasies into reality,’ the series’ official synopsis reads.<\/p>\n

It sounds vaguely familiar to that of Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson’s racy Babygirl…<\/p>\n

Slattery plays M’s husband, while Woodall breathes life into Vladimir, M’s fixation. <\/p>\n

Alongside Weisz, Sharon Horgan serves as an executive producer on the project, and we were keen to hear what she had to say about the project.<\/p>\n

The brains behind Bad Sisters said: ‘When a passionate but reckless professor\u2019s world begins to unravel, she finds herself dangerously fixated on her magnetic new colleague.<\/p>\n

‘Seduction and obsession collide in Vladimir\u2014a provocative limited series brimming with forbidden desires, razor-sharp wit, and charismatic, unpredictable characters,’ she continued.<\/p>\n

‘As boundaries blur and secrets simmer, she\u2019ll risk everything to bring her most scandalous fantasies to life.’<\/p>\n

Speaking about the material, Weisz said: ‘I had Julia\u2019s novel, which I\u2019d read prior to being offered the role, and I had her screenplays.<\/p>\n

‘Her writing is so superb. It\u2019s so funny and mischievous and truthful, and slightly ridiculous. That\u2019s what makes it funny.’<\/p>\n

Vladimir drops on Netflix on March 6, we can’t wait!<\/p>\n
