{"id":293064,"date":"2026-02-11T22:01:14","date_gmt":"2026-02-11T22:01:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/293064\/"},"modified":"2026-02-11T22:01:14","modified_gmt":"2026-02-11T22:01:14","slug":"knocknagoshel-man-pleads-guilty-in-major-drugs-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/293064\/","title":{"rendered":"Knocknagoshel man pleads guilty in major drugs case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Knocknagoshel man has pleaded guilty to possession of drugs which were valued at over \u20ac1 million.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiokerry.ie\/news\/peter-collins\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Peter Collins<\/a> of Knocknagoshel village, who is in his 40s, was arraigned at Tralee Circuit Court on one single charge.<\/p>\n<p>That <a href=\"https:\/\/revisedacts.lawreform.ie\/eli\/1977\/act\/12\/section\/15A\/revised\/en\/html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">charge<\/a> is the possession of cannabis for sale or supply at Gibbons Auto in Abbeyfeale on 1st February 2024, with the value of the drug being greater than \u20ac13,000.<\/p>\n<p>The court previously heard Mr Collins was arrested after garda\u00ed seized around 55kg worth of cannabis, with an estimated value of over \u20ac1.1 million.<\/p>\n<p>The Knocknagoshel man was remanded on continuing bail and will be sentenced at a later date.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A Knocknagoshel man has pleaded guilty to possession of drugs which were valued at over \u20ac1 million.
