Weather forecasters said that Ireland is in for some low temperatures and wintry showers over the coming days.<\/p>\n
Weather Alerts Ireland<\/a> shared a new forecast update on Facebook<\/a>, and said that a movement of cold air may bring some snow to the country. They noted that “Arctic air” is the cause.<\/p>\n Met Eireann<\/a> has predicted low overnight temperatures from Thursday night. Weather<\/a> Alerts Ireland said that daytime temperatures<\/a> will also feel cold.<\/p>\n Posting on Wednesday evening, their forecast reads: “Cold air is forecast for Ireland from tomorrow and with this the risk of snow! On the main GFS and ECMWF models there is a chance of snow tomorrow night and then Saturday and possibly more on Tuesday.”<\/p>\n “In an additional forecast they posted: “After a few wet weeks we are expecting a cold snap from Friday as Arctic Air pushes down over Ireland.”<\/p>\n “What we can expect: Nighttime temperatures below freezing. Daytime temperatures well below average and with a windchill will feel very chilly at times!”<\/p>\n “Some wintry precipitation is also possible over the weekend as a low pressure system pushes close to Ireland. The rain from this system could well turn wintry as it meets the cold air over Ireland.”<\/p>\n “The ECMWF is also forecasting this cold spell to linger around next week but some uncertainty remains!”<\/p>\n Cathal Nolan of Ireland’s Weather Channel<\/a> added that a change is coming in the weather.<\/p>\n “We are in for a change in our weather so over the next while we are expecting to see colder conditions becoming a little bit more widespread. And with that we do expect to see that change taking place in stages firstly through Thursday night into Friday.
