According to reports, Manchester United have missed out on Thomas Tuchel, who has decided to \u2018sign a new contract\u2019 to commit himself to England until 2028.<\/p>\n
Former Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss Tuchel has been mooted as a potential candidate to be Man Utd<\/a>\u2018s next permanent boss in recent weeks.<\/p>\n Tuchel <\/a>is currently preparing for this summer\u2019s World Cup as he will lead England, though it had been expected that he would step away upon the expiry of his current contract at the end of the tournament.<\/p>\n This would have opened the door for Man Utd to appoint Tuchel ahead of next season, but this now appears to be off the table.<\/p>\n This is because a report from The Times has revealed<\/a> that Tuchel is \u2018set to stay as England manager until 2028\u2019.<\/p>\n READ:\u00a0Man Utd hair boy and Arne Slot both defended as Premier League derided<\/a><\/p>\n Journalist Ben Jacobs added on X: \u2018Thomas Tuchel has agreed a new contract to stay on as England manager until 2028, as @JNorthcroft and @Lawton_Times called. Tuchel one of the names considered by Manchester United, but England boss has agreed to stay on.\u2019<\/p>\n After this extension was confirmed, Tuchel said:\u00a0\u201cI am very happy and proud to extend my time with England. It is no secret to anyone that I have loved every minute so far of working with my players and coaches, and I cannot wait to lead them to the World Cup.
