\n\tEXCLUSIVE: Israel\u2019s Yes Studios<\/a> is making its London TV Screenings<\/a> debut this month with a slate of scripted dramas and comedies.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs the Screenings heads for its biggest year yet, Fauda and Your Honor seller Yes is in town with character-driven comedy Brewing Trouble, novel adaptation Strangers, airport-set comedy-drama On Standby, dark comedy Little Fucker and Season 2 of romantic comedy series Bloody Murray. Also on the slate is Children in the Woods, a psychological thriller.<\/p>\n

\n\tBrewing Trouble is a seven-part, 35-minute episode series from Adar Meirom and Omri Amit. It follows the story of young millennial Yuval, whose money worries force him to return to his desert hometown and eccentric, gun-toting grandfather Shmulik, who has a secret talent for brewing moonshine. They begin an illegal business that captures unwanted attention from the police and a local Bedouin crime clan.<\/p>\n

\n\tYes Studios\u2019 network parent, Yes TV, is producing alongside No Drama Studios.<\/p>\n

\n\tStrangers runs to six parts and is based on Lihi Lapid\u2019s novel \u2018On Her Own.\u2019 Lapid has co-written the series with Zion Rubin, with United Studios of Israel and Yes TV the producing partners.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe series follows 17-year-old Nina, who bids to escape certain death after witnessing a murder by seeking refuge with 78-year-old Carmela, a disorientated woman who mistakes her for her own granddaughter. Set between Israel and the U.S., the series touches on themes of families seeking redemption and connection.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Standby is a ten-part, commercial half-hour follows Sagit, a 33-year-old security officer at the airport, who, per the producers, watches everyone else take off while her life remains somewhat grounded.<\/p>\n

\n\tWith a sarcastic yet dependent father, a detached mother, and a job that was meant to be temporary, she has forgotten what it means to move forward, until she joins a writing class seeking an outlet, where her cynical humour and buried dreams begin to surface, along with an unexpected chance at love. Gitit Fisher is the creator, and Yes TV and Yoav Gross Productions are attached.<\/p>\n

\n\tLittle Fucker, which was announced back at MIPCOM in October, follows an outcast boy who discovers his father\u2019s secret affair and begins blackmailing him. Bloody Murray Season 2, from Stav Idisis, is about best friends Dana and Murray who continue on a hope-filled mission to grab life before it grabs them.<\/p>\n

\n\tAlso new to the slate is Children in the Woods, a dark drama from Yes TV and Endemol Shine Israel. The show follows an Israeli investigator who uncovers an international syndicate trafficking newborn babies, and a Spanish counterpart who joins up to track the movement of mothers and children across both Israel and Spain and through the dark web.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAs people have come to expect from yes Studios, we have some gripping, edge-of-seat dramas to talk about, such as Strangers, alongside several new comedies that range from the sharply characterised Brewing Trouble to the darkly funny Little Fucker. The screening event will also allow us to share our ideas around scripted formats \u2013 something which we have done successfully in recent years \u2013 and shine a light on those new titles that we feel are particularly ripe for international adaptations.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tThe London TV Screenings begin on Sunday, February 22, and run until Friday, February 27. Yes Studios screens on the Monday at 2.30pm.
