The Football Association of Ireland have confirmed that the Republic of Ireland Men’s National Team will fulfil their 2026 UEFA Nations League fixtures against Israel.<\/p>\n
Earlier today, the Boys in Green were drawn to play Israel, Austria, and Kosovo in the Nations League B3 later this year.<\/p>\n
In November 2025, the FAI submitted a motion to UEFA requesting the “immediate suspension of the Israel Football Association from UEFA competitions for a breach of UEFA statutes.”<\/p>\n
The FAI today released a statement confirming that they will fulfil the games against Israel:<\/p>\n
“While consultation has taken place with UEFA officials, the Association does recognise that UEFA regulations outline that if an association refuses to play a match, then that fixture will be forfeited and further disciplinary measures may follow \u2013 including potential disqualification from the competition.”<\/p>\n
The Republic of Ireland’s Nations League B3 games will take place between 24 September and 17 November.<\/p>\n
